A LITTLE EXTRA CASH
Pastor Jim Wright
April 4, 2008
I believe God will bless us all with opportunities to make a little extra cash now and then if we are watching closely to products we know well.
“Even a blind hog finds an acorn once and awhile.”
Ja. 4: 13 Look here, you people who say, "Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit."… 15 What you ought to say is, "If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that."… 17 Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.
vs.14, 16 they say OUR LIFE HERE IS SHORT DO THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS and DONOT BE BOASTFUL ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN DO.
GOD WILL GIVE YOU OPPOTUNITES TO BUY AND SELL PUTTING EXTRA CASH IN YOUR POCKET AND HELP OTHERS EVEN MISSIONS.
Testimony: I bought 99 baseballs for 10 cents each = $9.90+.60 tax = $10.50 at Wal-Mart in Jan.08 sold 98 of them in the Bargain Mart (free ad under $49.00) Apr. 3rd 08 for $45.00 = about $35.00 profit it was fun. With the profits I bought bags of M+M chocolate candies and Slim Jims for the whole church. Gave one ball away.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
1. KNOW YOU PRODUCT, SO YOU CAN BUY IT DIRT CHEAP - You make your money when you buy. Everyone knows products food, paper goods, to sporting goods, cars, tools, dishes etc.
2. KNOW YOUR RISK LEVEL OR COMFORT LEVEL
This should be fun not stressful. At least give the opportunity to another believer to benefit.
3. KNOW YOUR EXIT STRATEGIES BEFORE BUYING
Have 3 or 4 ways to sell product. Or use it or give it away.
Use you knowledge and time for good.
Ja 4:17 Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.
